We have recently set up an entirely new system. In our old tank, our false percula desided to host in a small clump of hair algae (which has now grown into a large clump of hair algae due to the constant defence of his "home"). I felt bad for him, so when we transfered everyone over to the new tank, I brought his home over, too. We are getting set up for solf coral and I'd like to get him a proper host, like a long tentical or bubble tip.
So, does anyone have any ideas on how I should go about doing this? Should I remove the algae when I add the anemone or should I wait until the anemone figures out where it wants to be? Or maybe I should take out the algae before I add the anemone. (I'd feel kinda bad about that one. Before he started hosting, he'd sleep near the top of the water against the glass. It propbably didn't bother him but he looked like an orphin.)
Any help would be great!
