Hi, my name is Rob, I am holeinone1972 here and on Reef Central. I have been out of the hobby for about 3 years when I decided to move across country from Pittsburgh PA to Seattle as I got a promotion at work.

I used to run East Coast Clams from Pittsburgh selling corals & clams all over the USA. I had a 240 gallon master display with another 600 gallons of tanks for selling out of.

It was terrible to close down, and get out of the hobby, but now after a few years in the Seattle area, our new home will be finished late September and we will be setting up a new reef, and probably a fish only for my wife also.

I am terribly excited to start again, and have to laugh from feeling like I knew everything to now, feeling lost and all of my old info seems a lil dated anymore.

Lots of new things, LED's, vodka dosing, all kinds of things.

Anyway I was pointed here as the Pugent Sound section of Reef Central is dead.

I am very much looking to getting involved in a reef club again, and to make lots of new fish & coral buddies.

Right now just trying to decide whaty kind of tank & equipment to get.

Anyway, I am Rob and Reef keeping ROCKS!

A warm welcome to Reef Frontiers Rob. We hope you love it here as much as we do and... do you have any pics of your old systems to share???

Welcome Rob,

We are glad to see you getting back in the hobby and if there is anything we can do to help you let us know!

I am going to have to find some. Years and computers later, pics are scarce. LOL

Welcome Rob. I invite you to come and pick-my brain and review my latest up-grade DIY custom 250g deep dimension system. I have some contacts to share with you that would be of interest for a large build, if that is the direction your considering. I'm in the South Renton/Kent area if you wish to chat and also enjoy seeing well grown mature SPS corals and clams. Just send me a PM I love to chat "reef".

P.S.
It's always a great time to join PSAS, we'd like to greet you.

Deborah

Deborah,

I am sure I will be wanting to meet you and check out your tank. I miss my clams, the days of having 300 beauties in a shallow highly lit sale tank was an awesome sight.

I am currently in Kent, but will be moving a few miles away to Auburn.

Rob

Jus let me know when the dust settles and your ready to meet....perhaps family barbeque, any takers PSAS? Heh...we just finished hosting +40 yesterday for my PNWTCA group--Train Collectors Association. And, had some amazing reviews by everyone regarding my reef set-up. They've never imagined how far this hobby can take us at private level, unlike a city run system that most have experienced. LOL.

Hey Rob, welcome aboard and back into the hobby. Looking forward to seeing another new system build, and speaking of what size/type are you planning on?

Cheers, Todd

Welcome Rob, looking forward to meeting you you showed up just in time. We have our annual members frag swap Sept 17th and our (what is looking like to be very large, for us at least) annual Bob moore frag swap in Feb of 2012.

Well I have my first project started thanks to craigslist.I pickup up a nice acrylic hex tank with solid oak stand and canopy.I now get to think about drilling, bulkheads, aquascaping, lights.I am very excited. Got a pic but have to get used to this site and pic posting. It's going to more of a fish only, but I am sure some coral will find it's way in there! Rob
