My MP-40 started running loud and eventually needed to be started with a manual spin of the magnet after power-up, eventually it wouldn't run at all. I mailed it into Echotech support and they told me it needed to be replaced. Has anyone had a similar experience? My pump is just over two years old so the one year warranty has expired. The service department has offered to replace the dry side with a 90 day warranty for $178.00, if I forfeit the broken unit, he also offered to send me a new dry side, with a one year warranty and upgrade me to a new generation controller for $238.00. Any thoughts?
