So I just spent the last three days in the hospital with my boyfriend. He has lost his ability to walk and they have discovered that he has MS (multiple sclerosis). We are both scared and confused right now, and we don't know if he will be able to walk again. If their is anyone who has MS it would be great to get some knowledge of their experiences. I know everyone is different when it comes to this disease but he would love to talk to other people about this because the doctors are not being very consistent...and he just loves to talk . Plus my tank is not very happy right now, I think it is feeling neglected. Thought and prayers would be much appreciated!

My brother in law has MS. It can be confusing and scary of course, they went through that as well, not knowing, and yes, the Dr's didnt seem to be consistant at all!

Tell your boyfriend to hang in there, it gets better. He has lost and regained his ability to walk countless times.
Your best defense is to learn all you can about it. My sister moved over to the Seattle area because the medical dr's there were more advanced in its care. That has seemed to help. Perhaps there are support groups in your area that you can join?
