around there really
Well ive had my nas tang now for about a week in my 29 gl qt tank

he's about 2 and a half inches to two inches just a baby, I did find out that those were stress spots but I got him in hypo any ways I hope it won't hurt

As far as my qt tank goes I'm wondering how its future is gonna be seeing as I won't always have a fish in it or the lights on

Will I still get a coralife alage build up??

just wondering

I live this tang so far but man I wish he'd pic a color and stay he's changes color so much Its like I got three different fish in one

Will this change with age

how old would you say my tang is at two inches

And would my water quality have something to do with his inconstant color patterns

He seems really happy very play sul but a picky eater

All he's really ate so far is macro algae, ive tried freezes dried krill and frozen brine
He'll go up to the frozen brine and stare at it but he just swims away I

even dipped the brine in garlic

your qt tank won't grow coralline algae on it.. you will most likely be doing treatments in it that will kill it.. the hypo will cause it not to grow as well..
the colors he is turning is directly related to stress... try to keep the tank dimly lit to help reduce stress

As RONJ stated stress is most likely the cause of color stability.
You said you have the fish in hypo now, at what SG? With a lower SG its important to keep an eye on PH because the water may not have sufficient buffer to keep the PH up. This will add to the stress factor as well. Let us know SG and PH reading.
As far as food, its not uncommon for a Naso to only eat nori or macro algae, they are quite finicky. If this is the case you can pre-soak the nori in vitamins.

ot sure what the ph is I'm gonna buy a digital ph probe this weekend, my sg is about 1.010 or 1.011 I'm testing with a refrac and its accurate

I'm thinking it is the ph as far ad his kinds pail like color bit some times when I first approach the tank he looks fine

What size tank for him for life??

Ill get a ph probe for the tank this weekend

my tang is doing so good I did my first hypo water change tonight and he started acting kinds six good thing I fed her some krill dipped in garlic before I did the change

I got faith that will help her come around

Her belly is getting so big

Wow I'm raising my own baby naso rang and she means the world to me

1 more thing if your ph is too low in your salt tank I know howcto raise it by adding baking soda but what if its to high do u just do a water change ???

Just wondering

Thanks alot

Trill
