my lights aren't working help!!!!

these are the type of lights i have

3 VHOs on an Icecap 660 ballast

everything is on a timer, now all of a sudden the lghts won't stay on for more than a minute or two. I took the plug out of the timer and put it in the outlet, same thing, tried a different outlet, same thing, tried resetting the timer, same thing. I have no clue whats going on and I really need ya'lls help, i would appreciate any advice, thanks!!!!

Almost sounds like the ballast is overheating When the lights cut off and you try to turn it right back on will it allow you??

it's the ballast....how long have you had the ballast....look no further

Icecaps will blink on and turn off if one of the bulbs is not lighting due to poor contact. Wiggle the endcaps on each one and make sure they are connected well. After doing so turn thm back on, they should light fine and give no further problem.

if i unplug the lights and then plug them back in, it will turn back on, but then within a minute or so it will turn off again. I'll try and see if anything is loose if not......deos anyone have a ballast they need to get rid of? crap.....

Oh, you did say minute or two. Poor connection would flash off in a couple seconds. Yeah, sounds like ballast blew. How old is it? Where did you get it? Icecap will rebuild under warrantee or if beyond, for $75.00 There are always new and used ballasts for sale here, on that other reef site, and on ebay.
