Well now that my maroon clowns are in a new environment and I can actually see them without having a coralline or algae encrusted obscurred view, they tend to be very photogenic :)

Here's the male ...

Here's the female ...

And here they are together ...

awsome. my maroon has moved to the back bottom of the tank with the gbta. i can barely see him.

I'm partial to clowns ;) and those pics are nice!

Very nice examples of CB specimens, one with a misbar, the other complete.

Best,
Ilham

Very nice photos again Chuck...I think I'm loving this new approach of yours to the hobby. We get to see a lot more photos of yours and get to interact with you a bit more out in the open forum:)

Krish, are you saying I am a bit of a hermit on the site?

ROFL! At 1 post every month or 2 a hermit is way over your head Chuck:lol: Naw...Just kidding:p We all know how busy you are with running the forum and dealing with different RF matters so we can't expect you to post all day everyday. But it is cool to have you hanging with us a bit more now sharing your new tank and hopefully phase 2 and 3 to come. Marc from Melev's reef once told me he couldn't wait to get online during the day to see your posts and photos over at another forum you use to frequent (possibly RC). He said he had learned a lot from you, and you know, to have that come from Marc @ Melev's Reef! You've got to be the man!!!!:p

haha ... pretty funny indeed ...

I met Marc on Reef Central, not Reefland ... Marc is a great guy, has a great knowledge in the hobby and I am glad to have helped him in any way I may have :)

With regard to Reefland, I used to moderate a forum over there :) Scott runs a nice site there.

I love how Marron's make themselves look so big. When there fins are extended they look huge and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I guess I should admire you as much as I do Marc. I look up to Marc, I have learned so much from his site. Thanks for sharing everything you do!

The clowns look great Chuck! They arent like the pairs of Maroon's I see for sale in the local shops here though. You're female and male are similarly sized, (for now), and the ones I see for sale have all had much larger females than males, about 3-4 times the size. Did you buy them as a pair or did you pair them up yourself?

Nick

They paired up themselves. They were both tiny when I got them about 3 years ago. When they were proving dominance, the female nearly killed the male by massive brutal attacks, but the male hung in there. Now they are great looking fish, fins are all in great shape. And it is hard to tell in the picture, but the female is significantly larger than the male, at least 3 times larger than the male.

Ahh....
I tried to pair two up and the female was having nothing to do with it. Little guy didnt make it. I've always loved those clowns though.

Nick
