My Rose is splitting

I was wondering why my Clarkii was exceptionally vicous toward me and other fish now I know why. Its not the best pic but you can see where it split in two and maybe more to come... The disc was almost 11 inches across.

Congratulations!! Mine did that about 7 months ago and hasn't since...grrr..lol. Make sure you leave it alone for a couple weeks. When they split, they normally split at the mouth. That means that neither half has a mouth until they grow new ones. This usually takes 5-10 days. During that time, don't try and feed them at all. Once they've formed mouths and are eating, you can move one if you want.

thanks for the info on when to feed and to move if i needed to do any, mine has just split over the weekend and i have a new baby its my first:lol:
