my sapphire aquatics skimmer is seeing the white light advice please

so my sapphire aquatics biocube skimmer (the original!) is now seeing the white light at the end of the tunnel and I feel the need for an upgrade, how do you guys feel about this as a replacement?

I've never used one, but I don't think the CPR skimmers would get the praise as other competing skimmers of the same size would out there. Nonetheless, I will move your thread to the skimmer forum for you so you can get the appropriate feedback. Good luck!

the cpr skimmer would be great if it had a mesh modded maxijet on it...
but maybe you can get a replacement pump for the sapphire??
do you know what pump is on it??

I don't feel like the pump is the problem it just seems like it's having problems with air flow, but I came back from the weekend and it's bubbling just fine, really inconsistent though...

It is pretty old as well, I purchased it about 3 1/2 years ago and then sold it to a friend... I rebought the tank and all and it was sitting in his shed for months
