Details:
I give the short version at this moment.
Ron Hessing is prepairing an in depth artikel about this aquarium and this will appear soon, also on his site:
www.marineaquarium.nl.
With this aquarium I wanted to prove that small can also be attractive.
So everyone, who has a small aquarium knows that with effort his aquarium can be very beautiful, and that also the aquascape can be very good with only 40 cm depth.
I wanted a size aquarium easy to maintain, but without technical limitations.
So this aquarium is 120 by 40( deep) by 40 cm.
Total with the the sump below it contains 200 liters (about 50 gallons)
It is a normal berlin system, with overflow to the sump below.
In the sump is the skimmer (smallest BBK), the zeovit reaktor, a dutch made calcium reaktor, a container for activated carbon(KZ) See the picture below.
Water is pumped back to the aquarium with a Red dragon 14000 l/hour.
The water return is a loop above the aquarium with 6 openings.
In the aquarium also 2 tunze nanostreamers each 5500 l/h with intervaltimer.
The lightning is 2 t5 54 watt 1 blue 1 white in front of the hqi (2 times 150 watt) and 2 t5 24 watt 1 blue 1 white behind the hqi.
In the aquarium 25 kg live rock.
100 hard corals most sps.
40 gobies all in groups or pairs, some very rare.
10 other fishes like wrasses etc.
Manu other nano reef invertebrates, in fact the whole aquarium is crowded with nano animals.
Grt,
Robertus.
Beautiful tank! Gotta be one the of the best I've seen. Got any equipment pictures? List of equipment?
