At what gallonage do tanks lose there nano status?

I think that it's anything above 30 gal. Pico tanks around around 10 or less?

I think that's kind of a matter of opinion. IMO, anything under a 40. However, I didn't feel that way, when I set up my very first tank, a 29...lol.

I always said anything under 30 gal. Who knows though...

Picos were originally from 1 to 6g,s and nanos were typically around 12g's. Now days the spread is much wider like around 24g's upper range some say even higher. Also when you start putting sumps on them I think you somewhat loose that status, nanos were usually self contained but today people put sumps on 12g tanks lol so that blows that idea out!

I've always thought 29 and down is a nano...under 55 is small....under 100 is medium small...under 125 is medium....and 180 and above is large Haha
