I have a overflow box with two U tubes for flow.
Im trying to understand why all put siphon breaks in their tubes. During a power outage how is the water going to restart flowing when the siphon is broke. and on the same token once the pump restarts how does the flow start without siphon breaks?
I think im missing the whole concept of this.

The siphon break goes on the return side. The j tube should restart on its own but usually will act up, thus the reason for a aqualifter to suck the air out.

Do you think if I bought a aqualifter and modded the U tubes with some rigid tubing and airline, one pump would work for both tubes?

My siphon breaks are on the inside of the tank.
