I've checked Sanjay's site and done much research but still need some help. My problem is I don't know what color the lamp will be on my M58 ballast. Sanjay gives color temps for his lamps he tests but all of the "bluer" lamps can not be accuratly measured. So I need help.

I'm running 250w M58 ballasts and keep mostly sps. Any suggestions on a good lamp to use with this type of ballast that will give me adequate growth and the Icy blue (not burn out your eyes blue) color I'm looking for?

Thanks very much,
Kinerson

Hello,
Color is so subjective. One persons blue that looks good is way too blue or not enough blue to another. If you want a quantitative point to look for in regards to growth then look for a bulb that produces a minimum of 75-79 PPFD. With a Magnetek ballast you choices will be reduced due to its low output.

Regards,
Kevin
