anybody lives near RENTON/FAIRWOOD area??? This is corner of Petrovitsky and 140th.....

I just need to test my PH meter with your PH meter.... Need to know if mine is going south and need to recalibrate it or just buy a new probe.

Thanks in advance.

You may be better off calibrating it w/ some 7 and 10 PH calibration fluid vs. comparing it against another Ph meter. the reason I say this is whoever you borrow to compare against may be off slightly.. just another option...

the clown is right. calibrate it and then do a few chemical tests to see if they are close...often it is a gut thing when you know how your pH has been historically, and it starts to change. I would also recommend soaking it in vinegar, using a soft toothbrush to clean it, and then rinse in RO/DI water. Then do the calibration. Probes can become plated do to stray electrical current.

thanks to all... I went to Barrier Reef and they helped me with the calibration. Now I am more cofident with the readings I have.

Damn clown... I was just reading your tank's specs from the ticker. Is that right 6 MJ1200's? That's a lot of heat for not that much flow. Ever considered modding those MJ1200's into stream style pumps? :D

Sorry for derailing the thread

I think he will be ok...

I have 5 mj1200 on a 40g breeder. temp is set at 78. I dont see any issues... Heater is still going on most of the time.... I have a fan and no AC.

But modding it will be a good option.

yes but modding and using only 2 of those MJs would allow him to turn that chiller off altogether :)

Thh MJ 1200 mod I have provides more flow than my 45g grow-out tank needs at a very low wattage. It's literally like a whirlpool.

Hey Cesar, how goes everything besides the PH probe? Are the corals doing well under your DIY LED's still, love to see some updates on them.
