So I added some Blue 1 meter long led strips to my T5 light fixture for actinic addition. They have 60 leds per meter and have a working current of 400ma at 12volts. So I added 4 strips and If I'm correct I need a 12 volt power supply thats putting out 1600ma(1.6 amp) ????

I had them running on a 600ma 12v wal wart and it started to get alittle hot after an hour and I think they should be brighter with the higher current flow. Am I correct in my thinking??? These lights are very cheap only $6 a meter roll with 3M adhesive backing. The place I got them from said they will have water proof ones really soon. These things make my corals GLOW.......

Bill you don't want to add to ma, possibly voltage though to get more power to LED strips.

Heres what I,m saying......I have 4 led strips that each have a 400ma working rating each. So I need a power supply that puts out 1600ma. to run them properly .....right?
