i have the nova fixture 4x39watt 36" T5 works great


i want more outta it and maybe can mod it..

couple of questions

thats a replacement t5 ballast for something along the line of what i have (i think)

my fixture has 2 of these.

can i
remove the ballasts in my fixture extend the wireing mount the ballast on the wall or something. (get more room outta the fixture)

then if thats Do-a-ble i could possably get 2 reflectors in there..

primary question is can i use that ice ballast to power my lights?

2nd i hurd something about that UV h20logy bulbs being able to produce much more then the normal current bulbs..

when ive switch bulbs from stock current brand to the UV brand... i noticed that the uv's are not as bright.


i replace both 10k's already and one 14k last night...

you could see the diffrence in the blue right next to each other from the current to the UV.


thoughts on replaceing stock nova ballast with icecap, and moding the reflectors?
