i bought a rock with 3 mushrooms on it and what now looks like a zoa polyp i took a pic but my cam suxs its round with short fat tenticales and an open center its right next to a mushroom i want to take it off and put it in a safe place but ive never fraged before any ideas?

Two things that have worked for me. One break rock off with side cutting pliers, two cut coral off rock with a razor blade. However, it is best to only cut corals after at least 6 months in your tank, (my opinion) so I would try rock busting if I were you. Hope it helps. Others will respond soon and may have a better way. Thanks for being here Steve W.

As long as you are sure it's a zoanthid and not an anemone of some sort, the easiest way to move one polyp would be to pull out the rock and, using a hammer and screwdriver, chip off a small piece of the LR. Then superglue that sliver of LR onto some rubble.
