needing help getting my reef back

I'm back and ready to renew after a year...........finished the 125g through wall project that so many of you advised me through. The cost of the project was so much that I ended up selling my 55g reef to help pay for it. When all was said and done, I didn't have the start up costs to set up a new reef, so I did a fw planted instead. A year later I am still missing my reef and want it back! The planted tank has flourished and looks great but it doesn't give me the "oomph" that my reef's always did. I'm down to my one 6' through wall tank with all the amenities I need, now I just need to get back what I really love!

Does ANYONE know where I can offload fw plants and tons of wood, 50+ fish etc... for anything that I could use for recreating my so missed reef? I don't even know where to begin to get rid of all the fw stuff I have. To my knowledge there is nothing like a "fw" Reef Fronteirs. The saltwater community is tight and I really don't know where to turn to get rid of my fw stuff.

very nice FWP tank! I would recommend keeping the FWP and building a new reef. :lol:

Looks like you have some extra wall space there, why not put another in wall next to it and make it a reef, that way you have the best of both worlds!

On another note, if you're willing to offload some of it for pretty cheap I know someone who will be interested in alot of it for his FW planted tank. PM me if you like.

Thanks, I already tried convincing my husband to let me do that. It did not float very well....in fact it sank .

The tank is centrally located between the living room and staircase and is the first thing people see when entering our home. I like the fw but it could never compare to a reef. There just isn't as much to sit and stare at. Besides as you can see (pic below) I have 6 door access and it seems such a waste to not be hiding tons of reef equipment in there.

i typically dont like wood work much anymore vor aquariums, but i must say, that looks awesome!! very modern and elegant.
