Well, a couple months ago Elmo told me I could put a very small Clarkii in with my very mean big Clarkii and they would eventually like each other. My Mom wasn't very happy with the idea because she thought it might not be a good way to spend my birthday money. You know, on a baby clown that might get killed because Clarkina is so mean. She bites my mom every time she tries to fix something in the tank. We searched all the local stores and found a very small Clarkii, and here is the picture, they are friends already. The anemone looks very small in the picture but it is really very big. We had to take it from the side maybe thats why. It only took a week or so for the baby clown to want to go in the anemone and it feeds it to. It takes food and spits it inside the anemone tenticles. Elmo loaned my his clown book so I'm reading all about clowns.

CLarkina is the female, Kent is the male and Nennie is the anemone. What is your favorite fish names?

And, thanks to Shark Bait for making my signature with Clarkina and the anemone.

Thanks, Shilo

That is awesome. I hope their bond continues to grow. Good job on taking your time to find the right juvenile clown for the bigger female. In all likelihood the one in there is a female so it is best to just get a small juvenile to pair up with her. You may see some aggrevation, do you have some hiding room in that tank just in case?

Good luck with the pair. Looking good.

Shilo - congrats on the newly formed bond. You are doing an excellent job with your tank.

Favorite fish names? Currently, I have a bi-color blenny in my 120 that is named Humphrey. I enjoy naming fish - I love to get names to go along with the personalities.

as for favorite names, i always take the fishes scientific name and play with it. I had an undulated trigger named balistipuss, because thats what his scientific name sounds like. keep it up Shilo, you have such a head start on us old reffers, id like to see your tank in ten years, probable a $550 or a $600. you obviously have a great mom for supporting your expensive hobby. when i was your age, i got pyjamas for my B-day, not clarkiis

Very funny wrassehole. I'm not supporting too much. She got her first tank for Christmas which was a 12 gallon eclipse and said it was too small so I said too bad better save your money and she did. She bought her current tank, but mom has helped with a couple of upgrades. I got her the anemone for her birthday and she has bought the other fish in there was birthday money and extra work she has done. She doesn't get allowance for her normal chores, she has to work for the extra stuff! She was eyeing an Oceanic stretch hex at BLue Sierra today and she has big plans for that in a couple years. She does save her money for fish stuff!

very nice, i had a pair of clarkis as well. very wonderful clowns, i traded mine in for a pair a of saddlebacks.... kinda wish i had just set up another tank for em and boughten the sadlebacks...

AWESOME!!!

Great work Shilo. Glad I was able to convince you to get a small one. Usually it works with almost all types of clowns, except the maroon clowns, which seem to have a mind of their own.

If their bond strengthens you will see them start spawning in a year or two. I just got a shipment of 2 Orange skunk clowns (Amphiprion sandaracinos) so I am in the middle of pairing them as well. The problem is they are of similar size, so I do not know yet which one will be the female.

My Gold band maroon premnas are doing well, also. They will spawn again in 1-2 days.

Keep up the great work Shilo :)
