Hi All! RF has answered many of my questions over the last couple of years, and I'm finally getting around to joining!
I've been in the hobby for almost 7 years, but have always been more of a forum voyeur than participant. Time to change that.
I started out with a 7 gallon mini-reef not knowing what I was getting into, just decided to jump in one day after many years of small freshwater tanks. About 5 years ago that ended up being incorporated into my roommate's ex-husband's abandoned 50gal setup which ended up becoming mine. Lol...funny how things work sometimes...never figured I'd get something out of the divorce. I inherited the tank with a small lunar wrasse, small velvet damsel, a couple of clowns, and some nice corals, but the wrasse and damsel grew and gradually ate everything alive in the tank other than a leather, the clowns (which both eventually committed fish suicide rather than be chased around by the wrasse), and a coral beauty. Over the last three years, the tank has been quite drab other than the fish.
Not long ago, the wrasse crashed, and now I've taken the necessary steps in preparation for a FOWLR to true reef conversion! The last step is to relocate the 6" damsel to a new FOWLR home...any takers? Once that's done, I'll actually be able to pull the corals I've been protecting out of their temporary plexi homes and place them properly! It's an exciting time!
Enough rambling. ...but seriously...if anyone out there needs a big damsel that is fish (but not polyp) friendly, let me know! Lol.
