New cold water build?

Okay Paul, you may have finally talked me into it. So here is what I am thinking. I am moving everything from my 90 into the 240.
I am moving my FW 55 into the 90. Yeah FW. my 8" cichlid needs a bigger home.
anyway...
So I will have a 55 gal stand open. I'll get rid of the glass tank. I am thinking a long shallow, probably 18" tall, acrylic tank that fits the 55 stand.

I need to contact Jason and see about getting a tank built.

this all will take me a few months. so until then, any suggestions please let me know.

How bout chiller? U have one? Or have plans to gets one?

Haha I love it!! That will be a nice size of tank. I would try to get it 1/2" at least. My roommate uses a 1/5hp chiller on his 60 with no problem. I have a 1/2 hp I could sell to ya if you wanted also if you think you may add a satellite tank or two Welcome aboard though seriously! After all you were the only member at the inaugural Coldwater reefer meeting

I use a cooler that I plan on modifying eventually. But aside from that yes you will need an acrylic tank.

With the footprint you have for the tank I bet you could get a 1/2" thick acrylic Frag tank done for a good price
