Elos has finally announced their new Mini Reef. Its roughly 20 gallons and "Crystal" glass (low iron) is used for the front panel. It comes complete with tank, stand, sump, skimmer, return pump, plumbing, and the New Elos Elite Led Clamp on light. If I understand correctly this LED lighting unit is more powerful than any similar sized LED unit currently on the market. Pricing for the Elos Mini is rough at this point but it looks like the will be around $1500-$1600. We'll know more as they start arriving in 2-6 weeks. I have two on order and can only reserve them with a deposit.

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

This is the only picture I've seen of the new NS-100 Skimmer that is included with the Mini. No pics of the sump yet:(

Very nice looking setup. Do you know if the color of the LEDs is adjustable? Sorry, i am not to up on my LED lighting!

My undertsanding is that if you order one of their LED's far enough in advance they can put whatever LED bulbs you want in it. The bulbs are not controllable like the Aquaillumination units. Hence the lower price tag.

Our second Elos Mini will arrive early next week. I believe it is one of the last available for a while as Europe is scheduled to receive current production. I may have this slightly wrong but I know they will be difficult to find for the next month or so. Ours will have the black door and sliver LED. $1749.99. Shipping out from the store would cost extra.

Thanks!

How are these working out? Any feedback?
Thanks

Hi,

All of the feedbck over at RC has been great. Phishy Business has set one up that is almost all SPS and its doing great under the E-Lite LED. There are also a few other threads on Mini's with SPS and the LED. The filtration is great and no microbubbles are present when set up properly. All-in-all I'd say they are a huge success! We have only sold one unit and the owner is keeping fish only and sold the light because it wasn't needed. We do still have one in-stock!

Thanks,
Cy
