After the PSAS Meeting w/ Lee Birch we here at Barrier are going to strive to provide the best foods possible for our customer's fish. Today we got in all four types of Ocean Nutrition Flake foods and next week we have some other new foods arriving. One of which is Prawn Eggs. They are great coral food and many fish love them as well. A complete list will follow next week.

This is what I like to hear, helping people understand foods & fish needs then a supporter responding to it, allowing everyone to gain access to something I'd consider vital to our hobby If we plan on moving forward & improving. Yes I know fish can live years on wheat but why should they when we have the means to feed them a better balanced diet. I'm looking for Ocean Nutrition Small pellets, the formula II, Marine Pellet? :)

Cy,

This is good to hear. I am trying to change my own nutrition regiment and how my fish are fed. Keep up the good work.

Good to hear! I would really be interested in a freeze dried food option that would meet Lee's requirement of being a whole, sea based, organism. I am looking for something nutritious for the auto feeder along with something that could be used to soak up medication or vitamins to feed fish in QT.

I'm still researching the dried food options. I'll pass along info as I find answers. Quality pellets and flakes from Omega and Ocean Nutrition are the easy answer for the feeder but it would be nice if we could find another option.

Some foods IMO that are rather good...

New Life Spectrum
OSI Spirulina
Formula 1/Prime Reef

I make a mix of this and use it as a base.

Best,
Ilham
