Just to let you all know......we brought in both *new* koralia nanos. the first one is just an update to the original.....smaller design (it's itty bitty), still does 240gph and is still $29.99. the real new one is the same size as the *new* updated original one(meaning itty bitty as well), does 425gph and is only a few buck more.....$31.99. so now ya know......and knowing is half the battle.;)

Do you know if both the old/new (240) and the new/new (425) can be cycled on/off as a wavemaker without breaking?

Just curious because I saw an ad for the 425 nano that mentioned that it could now be used with a wavemaker - like the evo series - but I wasn't sure if that applied to the 240 nano also. When I took apart my old/new 240 nano the other day to clean it, I noticed it was built differently than the other koralias.

And you're right... it IS itty-bitty. I love it!

I would guess the same is true of the 240. I've seen forums and reviews where people say they are putting them on timers. The weird thing is neither the instructions or Hydors website mention it being ok or not.
