Hey guys I got my new tank fully up and running today! I am pretty happy so far. Hopefully all my sps pieces will really like the new home w/ a lot of extra flow on them. I have 50 more lbs of live rock out in the shed that is 'curing' So maybe in a week or 2 I will get all that in there also.

What is the exact name of the part that went on the BH?
I have a LFS that claims that there is not PVC part that threads onto a 3/4" BH.

If you could let me know that would great.
thanks

Well the exact name is a 1.5 to 1.25 bushing w/ threads . This will only work on a SCHEDULE 80 bulkhead and if yours are sch 40 it will not work. I got the bulkheads from savko.com and the bushing from mcclendons

Great, that is good to know. So it should be something I can find at a well stocked hardware store?

Yes, a good plumbing supply like McClendons should have it. I have never looked at HD or lowes for them but they may also have them. If you order some bulkheads from savko.com they will defintaely have them.

Second question for you:

You used a 300 on your CLS with 4 3/4" BH's, right?
How much flow do you have? Too much? Not enough?

I have a 120 being built with a 2100 in the mail. I have a OM 4 way wiht 1.5" outs. I want 3/4" bh's so I can use my locline.
I just want ot know if I need a bigger pump but I do not want to recreate a tsunami in my tank :), just have some good ramdom flow.

TIA

Hey I have 5 outlets, 1 for a spraybar, and 4 for locline. If you only have 2 going outlets going at a time it may restrict both the 2100 or the 3000. I would say that I now have plenty of flow and dont think that it is too much by any means for a sps tank.

Thanks a lot Eliyah, Nikki and Grant! I am looking forward to getting the rest of my rocks in there after they cure and doing the final aquascape

That is a window on the right side there Grand

Very sweet indeed.. I am so looking forward to setting up my new 60 gallon cube tank soon. I have everything I need to get it up except the tank.

Love the aquascaping too!:)

Check your phone book for Plumbing supplies. I found a store that had some Schedule 80 parts that Lowes/HD did not carry (Sch 80 ball valves). The rest of the parts we found at Lowes, so I'm sure HD has them, too.
