New sump help?

I have a 20 long sump fuge area. With bottom drilled overflow.
I can't get my cheato to be in a efficant spot to grow. And I just want to make this sumo more efficant.
Any one have drawings for a 20 long for me? Or advice on how I should do it for maximum usage.

I think maybe raise this wall so I can have my cheato float in where the dragons breath is?

I think you might have enough room for cheato. What your problem is, if I am correct, that the cheato floats over the baffle into the return section.

What I did, was I took a piece of either white or black egg crate, cut to fit in the tank above the baffle between the refuge and return section. Then I covered that with vinyl window screen. Placed that in right above that baffle and it keeps the macro from floating over and into the return section. Every once in a while you will have to clear the screen out, but it is working for me. It also keeps snails out of the return section.

I have both. Get me a measurement and I will cut enough for you to use.

I attach the vinyl screen to the egg crate with super glue gel. bonds quickly to both.

Oh, and I silicone it into the tank. You might have to turn off the sump and drain it a bit, leave it turned off for a while to let the silicone cure.

11" bottom of the sump to bottom of top. Rim.
11 3/4 inside glass to inside glass

So 11x11.75"
Should work, I'd just put it in front of the baffle before the return
