So currently my set up is a 36gallon bowfront

I have to koralia nanos in it with an ac50.

These will be gone because I ordered an Vortech mp10 es to help with the flow.

My lighting is a Current USA 96watt t5h0.

My protein skimmer is the Aquaticlife 115 ( I know not good enough)

I'm wondering what I should purchase for a protein skimmer seeing as now I can only use a HoB or a Internal. While I await building my new stand so I can build a sump/refugium.

I would also eventually like to upgrade the lighting to a MH I was told to get these items for my MH setup

Lumatek Halide Ballast 250w Dimmable (was told it could switch to a 150w also)
Sunlight Supply Lumen Max 3
and the bulb a Phoenix Halide Bulb

I know this list is a little sporadic but I would like to learn as much as possible and know what some of the best products are.

So please give me your opinions and insight and thank you for reading this :D

For choosing a protein skimmer, send a PM to skimerwhisperer..He is the guru when it comes to skimmers.

for a 36g, T5s are sufficient..MH just adds an heating issue to the tank that I dont know if you want to handle...summer is coming and unless you have a way to keep the tank cool, I would stick to T5s.

Ah ok I shall pm him then, so I can rack Lighting off of the top of the list :p

I agree about talking to skimmerwhisperer about the skimmer. For light t5's are great but 96watts on a 36 gallon tank might be a little short depending on what you want to keep.
