i bought a med size neon green zoo and it has been doing well but lately some plain brown ones started to appear what should i do with the brown ones if anything they are plain looking ?

If you don't want the brown ones at all, you could use a product like Joes Juice on them. But even if you are careful, you may lose a couple of the nice ones. By carefully adding a drop right on the brown ones, with all pumps off and letting the product sit for a few minutes before turning the pump back on, it should kill it.
If they are zoanthids and not aptasia, you can try cutting the brown ones off.
If you try that, remove the rock from the tank and do it in a separate container of tank water. Be sure to use eye protection and rubber gloves.
Get down uder the brown polyps base with a sharp hobby knife and it shouldn't grow back.
If they are apatasia, Joes juice will work.

Let me state since you say you are new to zoanthids you probably do not know that they carry A very deadly toxin palytoxin so where gloves and glasses like fin said

This is not to discourage you from cutting the zoanthids just letting you know
Why it is important to wear gloves and eye protection.

Give them a chance to morph....they all start out as ugly ducklings. If they just appeared though they may be aptaisa and should be killed on sight.
