We had a special customer ask us to preform surgery on his 180. It is an all .500" Blue Backed tank with 2-8x8" Ofb's. He wanted 3 portholes for his lights. So we came up with a game plan, and away we went. The portholes were crazed from flame polishing, and had narrow radius corners, not benificial o long term strength, and definetely not attractive. So, we are hooking him up with the good stuff! Here are a few pic's of the progress. Enjoy!

First 2 pic's are of the tank recovering from surgery, and the last is it's new top. You can even see the BLUE OFB covers and handles! We don't just do it, we do it all the way! A little more love and this 180 will be all set for some water. We hope he enjoys it!

Awesome Jason! Guess I better start thinking about kicking off the ol' build thread! Thanks for posting the pic's...it's looking great so far...exactly what I wanted!!

Saw that tank today when I ordered my sump. I look at that type of work and think that I could never have done it. Jason pulled it off quite nicely. Very clean work.

Mike
