awesome Chuck! guess so far I am the only one that can get onto the new site. Only 1 user on right now and it's me! <I'm lonely>

The one thing I first noticed is that none of the Sponsors work. It shows the titles but no banners.

Anyway - Hi everyone! Welcome to the new site!

glad you can get on ... it hasn't propogated to my ISP yet either, but I know the secrets to get here so I found you ...

Maybe all of the site isn't propogated over yet and hence why you don't see the banners ... I will check into that ... at any rate, I am glad someone can see the new site :)

well i kinda cheated. it hadn't made it to my dns server either so i switched my dns server over to the one in the new WHOIS entry for reeffrontiers.com and it was able to find it this way.

you could have put a REDIRECT command on the old reeffrontiers then it would've made it easier for everyone. in time though, everyone will be here. :)

i like the new enhanced message editor.

i noticed you are hard coding the IP address on some links and on other links you are putting the domain.

that is confusing my cookies but now that i have 2 cookies i don't have to keep logging in. i think you should go strictly with the domain name instead of the IP.

i just edited my hosts file in the \windows\system32\drivers\etc folder and added this

127.0.0.1 localhost
69.64.38.53 reeffrontiers.com

that way i can reach the site easily.

is there a reason you are putting the IP in one entry and the domain in another entry?

Yes, because I needed to make sure the complete site worked prior to domain propogation ... once all propogated, I plan on removing the IP addresses. All part of the plan :)

ok i am just jumping the gun then. that is why editing your hosts file works well...then you make the changes once and that is it. :)

awesome job by the way. looks great! they made alot of awesome new improvements on the software.

ah oh - we are missing the Paypal Contribute to ReefFrontiers logo on the main Forums page :)

Guess tomorrow morning I'll have to do some tweaking, but I just wanted to say It is well worth the wait. :D WOW WEEEE ;)

*happy dance* it has the option to download your private messages in XML, TXT and some other format. Now people can actually clear out their inboxes so I don't ALWAYS get the message "THIS USERS MAILBOX IS FULL"

Neat, I'll need to cover a few basis when It settles down at this end, maybe tomorrow I can play! :)

LOL! Love the new features....you can see how many PMs you have on the top of the page...love that. Hold your pointer/mouse over the title of the thread to see what the thread is about. You can also open each post into its own window by clicking on the number (for example Scooterman's post = #15), and that makes it easier for quoting, etc. Fun fun fun

Awesome work, Chuck!!!!! :D :D

Oh - and I love the smilies :)

there are alot of great new features. one of the other kewl things i noticed that is on the main forum section you can minimize sections such as the Library, Sponsors and the others so you don't have to scroll through everything. Very kewl. Saves alot of space on your browser window.
