Tyler already offered to send me free samples, but I feel that would taint my experiment. I already got the MelaFix and I am buying PimaFix and Kent RxP today, but I hate to have to shell out $50 for one product.

I thought that's why you wouldn't want to ask the manufacturer. I don't blame you on purchasing it...$50 is a chunck. I'll post a thread in my club's board, too, in case anyone has a sample they can donate.

Self funding these things is not fun. I spent $100 for the tanks (a real bargain, Adam hooked me up), $200 on the lights, $200 on the air pump, filters, tubing, manifold, and Bio-Spira, and $50 on the treatments for an article that paid $400. That means I lost $150 on part 1, not to mention my time conducting the experiment, writing the article, salt, or water. But, I did get to present at MACNA and I do love the hobby and want to add to the body of knowledge, so that makes it all worth it.

Just an update. I now have all the treatments on hand and 36 specimens of Xenia in 12 tanks getting for testing.
