So i have a turkey wing clam. At least thats wat i believe it to be. Its a hitchhiker and was at the top of the water today by the overflow box. I knocked it down thinking it was a snail or something.
Anyways any way to care for this creature? It had an orange foot (tongue like) and some hairs on the top kinda... was that wing shape too like turkey wing clams...
Any info or anything? R they at least reef safe lol?

Also another lil clam thats more like a bivalve or something... r hitchiker clams common?
I tired to get some video uploaded tonight but my ipod connector thing is MIA!

Hey Devin, yes you stand a fair chance of getting a few different Clams as hitch-hikers on LR and typically the Boring Clams. I have several on bottom side of many pieces in my tank. To my knowledge they are primarily filter feeders like Scallops.

Cheers, Todd
