Is this possible. For 18months i have been free of Monti eating Nudi's. On the 11.11.08 I discovered two adults. This one at the base of a Mille.

My name is Sean, i live in Durban South Africa:oops: My concern is no longer the Monti's but my collection of Mille's. So far the only one that shows any damage is this one.

Hello Sean,
It is most likely Phyllidia bourgini if it is actively feeding on your coral. Iodine based dips such as Tropic Marin and manual extraction are your best course of action. Be sure to pick the eggs off with tweezers.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin. Apologies for late reply. I have bought the Tropic Marine Coral dip and will shortly start dipping. Has this Nudi surfaced before in sps circles and how much of a threat does it pose? Thanks in advance:D

Hello,
They are actually rare in the home aquarium. If left untreated they will become quite a problem. Stay on it and I'm sure you will get rid of them.

Regards,
Kevin
