Maybe Scooty will chime in Jiddy because he uses an oceanic tank for his sump and is happy with it. I can't remember exactly if it was an actual oceanic tank he added in the baffles himself (which I'm thinking it is) or an oceanic sump. Either way, I've seen quite a few people use them

It is way cheaper to make a sump out of an old tank.
However, on my 240, I had Clear Fabrications make a acrylic sump that was as big as my stand could handle. More water volume, way better.

I know its cheaper, but I wanted to explore all my options. Im sure ill have a plastic tub with some hoses below, but I was curious
