Octopus Recirc 110 overheating pump

Hi

I was wondering if any body has heard of these pumps failing. So far I have loss two Recirc pumps!! Over about three years, but the last one only lasted about 1 year! It smokes, bugles and fails

Should I abondon the octopus ?
