? on adding reflector to my hamilton hood

i have a hamilton hood.with single 250watt m.h bulb and two 96watt p.c (atnic blue).i was wondering if i would benifet or help increase better lighting by adding a reflector.or would it be a waste of $.running a 46g bow front tank(3feet lenght).
