Sorry for the crappy pics, they were taken with my cell phone at work...

Ok, so this thing has been attached to this mushroom colony rock forever.. It opens and closes its valves periodically and feels like an eraser to the touch.. Hard/rubbery.. Is this a sponge of some kind or what?

Also, this came into work under the very vague label of "Zebra anemone". I've also gotten these guys as Long Tentacles.. Anyone recognize it? Whatever it is, its really pretty.. A light lavendar color.

Kewl, Brie...wish I could help. I know nothing so I am guessing. The first pic. looks like a really, really old gross sponge! JMHO.

I have no opinion about the second.

the top pic is a tunicate. they're actually pretty neat if you can keep them alive.
the bottom one looks like some sort of glass anemone. not too sure; there's a ton of hitchhiker anemones that'll show up on live rock.

The anemone isn't a hitchiker.. I work in a perstore and I ordered it. It came in as a "zebra anemone". I'm just looking to see if anyone can properly ID it.
