Picked up a frag of the ORA Red Planet from Barrier Reef Aquariums today. Looks awesome. Super Red polyps, reddish tips, and a neon green body......

Hi,

We sold all our Red Planets. When ORA releases new corals they allow us to buy 1 per order. We also have to buy a minimum $$ of fish each order to be able to buy corals. You can imagine there is high demand for each new coral and very limited supply. As a result new ORA corals usually retail for 89.99. We are still in the early phase so they are retailing for this price. A few months after their release, limits are lifted and prices drop. Usually they stabilize around 59.99-69.99. Hope that helps

from what I have read the red planet is a tabling acro. Before I saw it in person I thought it was a millepora, but now that I have it in my tank next to other millepora pieces I am pretty sure it is not a millepora. Nonetheless it is a beautiful coral. It is by far the best looking coral in my tank. Definitely a must have for any SPS fan.

I can only image a giant red plantet acro as a show piece in a tank. Sort of like Sherman's old tank.
