I just got a sump for my 150 gallon tank. The tank does not have any drilled holes in it. I have been reading a lot on overflow boxes and they do not sound to great a lot of noise and overflowing. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use????

I am thinking that is not a option for me my tank had been up and running for 6 months now....But if I was able to how would I go about doing this. Where do you go to have this done?????

It would take some planning, but you could do it.
First you would have to figure out if your tank can be drilled.
Determin the tank maker and find out which panels are tempered. They can not be drilled.
Then call around to find out which glass shops will drill a glass tank. I had a shop in Lacey do two tanks for me and one in Olympia.
Schedule a day to have it done, plan out all plumbing needed in advance, have plan b ready, and be flexable.
Find containers, heaters, extra power heads to store all the tank occupants for atleast two days, while you do the work.
Be ready to buy something special for the spouse for the mess you will make and disruption to the house.
It's easy:)

Well I thought about it and that is not something I can do. Right now I am starting a project with a 300 gallon tank, but it won't be ready for a while so it will just be a temporary overflow until I get the 300 up and running ( probably 4-5 months ). I have somebody that would like to buy it when my 300 gallon is done and they do not want any holes in it. So does anyone have any suggestion for a overflow?????
