overflow up date

after playing with different adjustments, i now have a quiet overflow, about 1/2to 3/4 water fall over into the skimmer box, no scum on top of water very clear,now the only thing i see is that after feeding there is alot of leftovers in the skimmerbox, just swriling around, i would think the small stuff would get sucked up by the u tubes and down to the sump....
