im selliing my main setup and reverting to just my mini 7 gallon nano tank. im going to install my remora pro with a mag 3 in the sump of the nano, the tank is going to be super skimmed, could this be a bad thing?

I wouldn't worry about over skimming with a Remora. I would be more concerned with heat being an issue with a Mag pump.

No that should be fine. I remember reading that you can tell if your skimmer is big enough by watching to see if there's breaks in skimmate. If its too small, it will be constantly producing foam, trying to keep up with the load. But if its oversized, which is what you want, then it will intermittently produce skimmate.

Your remora will do fine on that tank.

You mean there's a reason my skimmer doesn't produce skimmate consistently?

I'm not trying to rain on your parade but the Remora skimmers don't have the best reputation out there. I had one on a 37 gallon reef that produced little to no skimmate ever. I'm sure it will be fine for a 7 gallon though just watch the heat issue.
