Hi darrell.

What size tank is this?

You may want to look into a Copperband Butterflyfish. They will go after pesky aiptasia anemones, but will also eat up featherdusters. I'm guessing the ones you're talking about are the ones on the base of liverock/sand interface and on the rocks.

Elmo's right on, most of the butterflies will, but most also eat coral (well nibble). Are they really that bad? I think they are super cool. Steve

all the feather dusters are a sign of a healthy tank. If they are on the glass you can use a razor blade unless you have an acrylic tank. The back of my tank is covered in them and it just breaks up the flat black sillouette of the tank. They help with water quality too. Nothing bad about them at all unless you just don't like the look.

well the look is on the rock and through the corals mostly amoung the Rics and Shrooms they are starting to move to the glass but i think your right they do help with water quality a butterfly is out of the question because of the large Tang and foxface who dominate the tank

I noticed the little fan worms will populate and die back in cycles. I also noticed that when I quit running my skimmer for a time I had a regular explosion of them. Worms seem to breed when there's lots of feed (ok, I even groaned at myself over that one!)

At one time I had so many in my tank that the kids called it "tube worm city" LOL

well i have plenty if anyone near buy wants some your welcome to them they are even in my Refuge witch i like them there
