I was browsing Custom Aquatics and saw that Aqua UV makes a unit that does UV and Ozone??? IF I were to run ozone is this a good option?? Does anyone use the combined model? I thought ozone was supposed to be injected into the skimmer to make it more efficient??? Now I'm confused  Thanks for any help!

;) it's ok steve! I just thought the point of the ozone was to break down what the skimmer takes in and make it more efficient. If this unit was used wouldn't it have to somehow be plumbed to go into the skimmer??? Maybe they're just using the ozone to further clean the water like the UV... I don't know... Just thought I'd post here and see if anyone has used or heard of this unit? Here is the page with the units. It's from Custom Aquatics http://www.customaquatic.com/customaquatic/subsubcategorypage.asp?subcatindexid=uv-oz-sm

One of the reasons to plumb ozone to the skimmer is that the ozone gets broken down by all the agitation. That keeps it from entering the aquarium, or worse, your living room. When my hose connection was degraded by ozone, and ozone was leaking into the aquarium cabinet, I could certainly smell it in the living room and would cough hard whenever I opened the cabinet and breathed in. It is nasty stuff you do not want to leak out. My skimmer works better with the ozone off, I think the large organic molecules are easier to skim out than the smaller ozone-broken ones.

Becky - I've never seen a combo before. I use the Aqua UV sterilizer on my tank, but it isn't a combo (that I know of :) ). One concern I have is whether or not the ozone can be used with a controller. I personally wouldn't use Ozone without a controller.
