Pairing clowns

Hello, I had an unexpected result pairing clowns today. I have had one existing in my 75g by itself for about 2 months. Its mate jumped out of the tank a couple months ago.

Today I added a juvenille clown. I was expecting some agression by the existing clown, but instead the bigger existing clown did the submission seizure. The existing clown is about twice the size of the juvenile.

Is this normal?

I think you got really lucky! I had 2 perculas and at one point one jumped one just like yours did, I tried to put a new clown in there lake week and he's getting beaten up..
