I have a Pan World 100PX (790 GPH, 3/4" MPT) as the main return pump from my garage located sump to my tank in the living room (about 25 feet of run and about 6' of head). It has been running for less than two years, and last night it just stopped pumping water, but the motor is still running with a higher pitched whirring, (it sounds like a shaft broke or something).

Does anyone else have knowledge of these pumps and what may have happened? I need a replacement, so what is a good, reliable, quiet, economical choice? Sequence Dart or Barracuda?, Gen-X?, Iwaki?

Any input or experience you can relay is helpful?

Thanks

It might be clogged, my powerhead does that from time to time, try and take it apart and see if it can be cleaned out

Just pull the impellor out and see whats wrong. It may just have to much ca build up stopping the impellor. The magnet cant engage a dirty impellor.
