Peppermint Shrimp/ Emerald Crabs

1) Will Peppermint shrimp Eat your feather dusters?

2) Emerald crabs if you see them during the day crusing the tank are they hungry or is that just something they do. I thought they moved more when the lights are off???

Well, I don't know much, but I have 2 emerald crabs in a 5 week old tank, and after about 3 weeks, one of my emeralds started cruising during the day. I don't think he's hungry, just comfortable and trimming algae...

I don't know what the cruising is but the one I have always hangs out on the rocks or at rock base and I have 2 Peppermint shrimp (1 inch) and they have not eaten my feather duster (the size of a half dollar)

The peppermint shrimps should be used for aiptasia control, they should not eat your feather dusters. They do eat other things besides aiptasia.

The crab will eat bubble alage and if they do not have as much food or if they have to compete for food with will come out more during the day light hours.
