i am looking to automate my dosing of randy's 2 part recipe. i was looking at the aqua medic dual doser and the litemeter. which do you think is better for this. i have heard that the am doser doesnt dose both at the same amounts. i need a solution that will dose cal and alk slowly all day at equal amounts

You may want to shoot DonW a pm about that, he is very familiar with those.

Welcome to Rf BTW! :)

The AM is junk.
Litermeter is overpriced.
TPS Universals are ok.
Omega bare are excellent.

The AM are a terrible pump that just uses internal timers.
The LM are just overpriced pumps with a huge mark up. The pumps itself sells from the manufacturer for 1/10 of the price, shame they wont sell to the public. It is a good product and is reliable.
TPS pumps are good pumps for the money but I wouldnt use tha manufacturers low voltage version. Life span is to short, but you get what you pay for.
Omega bare pumps are excellent and are the same price as the TPS. They come in many different sizes are are 110v.

Both the TPS and Omega need a timer to do the dosing. Whatever you choose you'll find that you will want to be able two dose two different amounts. Tanks never seem to use ca and alk equally.
