Phoenix halide replacement bulb's.

I can get a good deal on these bulb's, they tell me that I don't have to run my actinic's when I use these bulb's is this true? Thank's The bulb is the 150w 14,000k.

I have teh 250w DE 14k version running on a PFO HQI ballast. I love the look. I run them without the actinics in the summer (heat) and with them in the winter (like the dawn/dusk effect).

But I can tell you that they are a very nice mix of blue with white for me and they really do not change shade that much with actinics. Of note, when they first go in, they are very very blue for about the first 7-10 days as the bulb burns in - then it lightens up to have more white. Fantastic bulb overall.

How cheap of a deal did you find?
I need to replace my 250 watt DE in about a month.
