Cool man. What are you using for filtration now with no liverock or livesand? :)

Well I bought A filter/powerhead from petsmart. And it came with sponge filter. I took it out because it lower the flow from the power headattached to it. I bought some biostone, to promote nitrate, and nitrite organisms to grow on The biostone in the filter. But I'm going to buy one more to stick on The other side of the tank. And replace the fake plant with live rock, and some cheateo plant. Oh it also has a carbon pack right before the power head. But with what I Have and an airstone in it to create some flow in the tank. All levels are zero. Ph is 7.9, sg is 1.002. Which is a little high right now but he had some white stuff on his eye. And because he is soft skin I couldn't really use anything but saltwater.

Well an airstone won't create flow. All that really does is create surface agitation that helps with oxygen exchange.

As for the block you got that you said promotes nitrite and nitrate organisms I have no idea what that is :p. If you are going with liverock, then that is all you need. It will be teaming with all beneficial aerobic bacteria (those responsible for converting ammonia into nitrite and nitrite into nitrate) as well as denitrifying bacteria responsible for converting nitrates into nitrogen gas etc. Biologically, you wouldn't need any other form of filtration. If you want to use for nutrient export, I wouldn't put it in the tank. It may over take it. Better to toss it in your hang on filter with a light over it. :)
