placing corals

I have a flower leather
a 250 halide and 130 watts acitic, he is near the bottom its a 40 tall...
any idea about how high I should have him or her..LOL
I picked him up saturday and he has been closed down since, i know they do that, i had one years ago, but never had this kind of light. any help from those who have them would be great!

Also a hammer coral I put him in the sand and he seems to like it, extended, I dont know him well enough to say fully but he does look good, I bought a small one because of prices and would like to see him grow so optimal light would be great, everything I read says low to med light and not sure exactly what that means in my set up. where should he be??

The hammer might be alright just where you have him. He just needs enuf flow to make him sway back and forth in the breeze. I don't know much about the flower leather, so maybe someone else will chime in here to help you out.
